Kristopher Belman directed the LeBron James documentary More than a Game.

The 2008 American sports documentary follows James and four teammates from their youth basketball years through their rise at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. The group includes Dru Joyce III, Romeo Travis, Sian Cotton, and Willie McGee, coached by Dru Joyce II.

Belman also co-wrote the film with Brad Hogan and produced it with Kevin Mann and music producer Harvey Mason Jr. The documentary grew from footage of the team’s development and examines friendship, family, pressure, and the transition from local talent to national celebrity.

More than a Game is sometimes confused with later LeBron projects involving directors such as Gotham Chopra or Steve James. Those filmmakers worked on other sports and athlete documentaries; Belman is the director specifically credited for this film.
