Who composed the musical score for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?
Answer
John Williams
Answer
John Williams
John Williams composed the musical score for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Williams wrote the series’ main musical themes, including the heroic “Raiders March,” and expanded them for the third Indiana Jones film. The score combines that familiar adventure music with darker material for the Grail quest, the medieval knight’s sanctuary and the film’s supernatural climax.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was released in 1989 and was directed by Steven Spielberg. Harrison Ford plays Indiana Jones, while Sean Connery plays his father, Henry Jones. The presence of Connery and the film’s European locations sometimes leads viewers to associate its music with other historical-adventure films, but the composer was Williams.
Williams’s work on the Indiana Jones films is part of a long collaboration with Spielberg. He also composed the scores for many Spielberg films, including Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Jurassic Park.
