Who co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne?

The story behind the answer

Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. Wozniak was the engineering force behind the company’s first major products, while Jobs focused heavily on product vision, business direction, and marketing.

The three founders formed Apple Computer Company on April 1, 1976. Wozniak designed the Apple I, which he demonstrated at the Homebrew Computer Club, and the Apple II, whose polished design helped turn Apple into a major personal-computer company. Ronald Wayne served briefly as an administrative partner and left the venture after about 12 days.

A common mix-up is confusing Apple’s founders with later executives. Tim Cook became CEO decades later, Jony Ive was a prominent design leader, and Bill Gates led Microsoft. Wozniak left full-time employment at Apple in 1985 but retained the title of Apple employee and remains closely associated with the company’s origin.
