Who co-created the TV series "Seinfeld" together with Jerry Seinfeld?

The story behind the answer

Larry David co-created the television series "Seinfeld" with comedian Jerry Seinfeld. The partnership combined Seinfeld's observational-comedy persona with David's unusual comic premises, precise dialogue, and fascination with social rules and everyday frustrations.

NBC gave Seinfeld an opportunity to develop a sitcom in the late 1980s, and David became the show's principal creative collaborator. He served as head writer and executive producer for the first seven seasons, helping shape the series' famously interconnected plots. Although David left the regular production team after season 7, he later returned to write the series finale.

David also provided the voice of George Steinbrenner, the unseen New York Yankees owner who is frequently discussed and occasionally shown from behind. Jason Alexander played George Costanza, a separate fictional character whose personality and situations were partly inspired by David. That resemblance sometimes causes viewers to confuse the creator with the character, but Larry David himself is the co-creator.
