Who became the first woman to win an NHRA Pro Stock event in 2012?

The story behind the answer

Erica Enders became the first woman to win an NHRA Pro Stock event in 2012. She earned that breakthrough victory at the NHRA event in Chicago, defeating Greg Anderson in the final.

The achievement was specifically about Pro Stock, not NHRA national events overall. Shirley Shahan had already become the first woman to win an NHRA national event in 1966, in Top Stock, while Shirley Muldowney later became a pioneering Top Fuel champion. Enders' milestone came in one of NHRA's premier professional categories.

Enders had entered Pro Stock earlier in her career after competing successfully in NHRA Sportsman classes. Her 2012 breakthrough launched a championship-level run: she won her first Pro Stock world championship in 2014 and added further titles in 2015, 2019, 2020 and 2022. Courtney Force and Angelle Sampey were also accomplished racers, but neither holds this specific Pro Stock milestone.
