Wings’ hit single “With a Little Luck” appears on the album London Town.

Released in 1978, London Town was Wings’ sixth studio album and followed the successful live album Wings over America. “With a Little Luck” served as the album’s lead single and became a major commercial success, reaching No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 5 in the United Kingdom.

The song has an unusual recording history. McCartney wrote it in Scotland, and part of the London Town material was recorded aboard the yacht Fair Carol in the Virgin Islands. The boat had been fitted with a 24-track recording studio, allowing Wings to work away from a conventional studio environment.
