Which weapon did Rama use to kill Ravana?

The story behind the answer

Which weapon did Rama use to kill Ravana? Rama used the Brahmastra to kill Ravana.

In the climactic battle of the Ramayana, Rama and Ravana fought after the war in Lanka had destroyed much of Ravana's army. Rama's earlier attacks repeatedly cut off Ravana's heads, but they regrew, making ordinary strikes ineffective.

With guidance associated with the sage Agastya and the arrival of Indra's charioteer Matali, Rama invoked the supreme weapon of Brahma. The Brahmastra, often described as Brahma's divine missile, struck Ravana's vulnerable center and killed him, ending the conflict.

The Brahmastra is sometimes confused with the weapons of Vishnu, Indra or Shiva. Those are distinct divine weapons in Hindu mythology. Retellings vary in their descriptions of the arrow's construction and the exact nature of Ravana's vulnerability, but the Brahma weapon is the standard answer to this quiz question.
