Vogue Scandinavia was launched in 2021 as the first Nordic Vogue edition covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland.
The edition was created as a regional publication rather than a magazine for only one country. Its coverage brings together fashion, design, beauty, nature, culture, and sustainability from the Nordic region while connecting those subjects to Vogue’s international audience.
Swedish media executive Martina Bonnier became Vogue Scandinavia’s founding editor-in-chief. The launch expanded Vogue’s international network into a region that had not previously had its own dedicated Vogue edition.
Vogue Scandinavia is different from Vogue Netherlands, Vogue Poland, and Vogue Russia, which serve separate national markets. The word “Scandinavia” is also sometimes used loosely for all Nordic countries; in this publication’s stated coverage, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland are included.
