Fox originally broadcast House M.D. in the United States.
The medical drama premiered on Fox on November 16, 2004. It was developed for television by David Shore and produced with major involvement from Shore, Katie Jacobs, and actor Hugh Laurie, whose performance as Dr. Gregory House became the show’s defining feature.
Fox continued airing the series through its eight-season run, including the finale in 2012. The program was also distributed internationally through various broadcasters, so viewers outside the United States may associate it with a different local network or channel.
Fox is sometimes mixed up with other major U.S. broadcast networks such as NBC, ABC, and CBS. Those networks carried many prominent medical dramas, but House M.D. was a Fox series from its American premiere onward.
