Which U.S. Navy ship at Pearl Harbor was a former battleship used as a target and training vessel?

The story behind the answer

USS Utah was the former U.S. battleship at Pearl Harbor that had been converted into a target and training vessel.

Commissioned in 1911, Utah served as a battleship during World War I. In the 1920s, the Navy converted her into a radio-controlled target ship, allowing crews to practice directing gunfire against a moving vessel. She was later redesignated AG-16 and used for training and ceremonial duties.

On December 7, 1941, Utah was moored off Ford Island, away from Battleship Row. Japanese aircraft struck her with torpedoes, and she capsized. Fifty-eight officers and enlisted men died aboard the ship.

Unlike most of the major battleships damaged at Pearl Harbor, Utah was not salvaged and returned to service. Her wreck remains in the harbor, and it is recognized as a war grave. The ship is sometimes confused with USS Arizona because both remain permanently at Pearl Harbor, but Arizona was a battleship destroyed by a catastrophic magazine explosion.
