Which university awarded Warren Buffett a Bachelor of Science degree?

The story behind the answer

The University of Nebraska awarded Warren Buffett his Bachelor of Science degree.

Buffett first enrolled at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1947, largely because his father wanted him to attend an established business program. Buffett, however, found Wharton’s academic environment less appealing than his own business interests and returned to Nebraska after two years.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, graduating at age 20 in 1950. During this period, he was already earning money through entrepreneurial projects, including newspaper delivery, pinball machines, and investments. His degree is often described as a Bachelor of Science in business administration.

A common mix-up is confusing Buffett’s undergraduate university with his graduate school. He attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate before finishing at Nebraska, then went to Columbia Business School for graduate study under Benjamin Graham.
