Answer
Mongolia and China
Answer
Mongolia and China
Mongolia and China share the Gobi Desert.
The Gobi stretches across southern Mongolia and northern China, including parts of Inner Mongolia and several Chinese provinces. It is a cold desert with an area of roughly 1.3 million square kilometres, making it one of the largest deserts in Asia.
The landscape includes gravel plains, rocky outcrops, salt flats, and limited sandy areas. Its climate is strongly continental: summers can be very hot, while winters are severely cold. The Altai Mountains and other ranges influence the region’s climate and boundaries.
The Gobi is famous for dinosaur fossils, including nests and eggs discovered in Mongolia’s Flaming Cliffs area. Although many people picture deserts as seas of sand, only a relatively small part of the Gobi is covered by sand dunes.
