Which Toy Story film features the character Forky?

Forky appears in Toy Story 4.

Forky is introduced as a handmade toy created by Bonnie during her kindergarten orientation. Bonnie combines a plastic spork, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, a popsicle-stick foot, and other craft materials. Because he sees himself as disposable trash rather than a toy, Forky repeatedly tries to throw himself away, creating one of the film’s central comic conflicts.

Woody takes responsibility for protecting Forky because Forky is Bonnie’s new favorite object. The character’s story expands the franchise’s recurring question of what makes something a toy: factory manufacture is not required if a child gives the object emotional meaning. Forky’s confusion also helps Woody understand how strongly Bonnie depends on him.

Toy Story 4 was released in 2019 and takes place after Andy gives Woody and the other toys to Bonnie. Forky is voiced by Tony Hale. The character also returned in the Disney+ short-form series Forky Asks a Question, which explores basic questions about the world through his very limited understanding.
