Which three markets received the first official launch of Pokémon Go?

The story behind the answer

Pokémon Go first officially launched in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States on July 6, 2016.

Developed and published by Niantic in partnership with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Go uses GPS, smartphone cameras, and location-based data to place Pokémon in the real world. Players can capture, train, and battle Pokémon while moving through physical locations.

The initial rollout was deliberately limited rather than simultaneous worldwide. Heavy demand quickly caused server outages and authentication problems, so releases in other regions were staggered while Niantic worked to stabilize the service.

Japan, despite being Pokémon’s home market, did not receive the game until July 22, 2016. The launch became a global cultural phenomenon and helped bring augmented-reality games to a mass audience.
