Which team did Michael Jordan score 69 points against in his career?
Answer
Cleveland Cavaliers
Answer
Cleveland Cavaliers
Michael Jordan scored 69 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The performance came on March 28, 1990, when Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to a 117–113 overtime victory over Cleveland at the Richfield Coliseum. It remains Jordan’s highest-scoring regular-season game in the NBA.
Jordan’s scoring was only part of the performance. He played 50 minutes and added 18 rebounds, six assists, four steals and a block. He shot 23 of 37 from the field and made 21 of 23 free throws, carrying the Bulls through an overtime thriller.
The game is sometimes confused with other famous Jordan scoring nights, including his 63-point playoff game against the Boston Celtics in 1986 and his 55-point return game against the New York Knicks in 1995. Cleveland was also the opponent in several major Jordan moments, including “The Shot” in the 1989 playoffs, but the 69-point explosion occurred in a regular-season game.
