Which Taoist scripture is also known as the Scripture of Great Peace?

The story behind the answer

The Taiping Jing is the Taoist scripture also known as the Scripture of Great Peace.

The title Taiping Jing means “Scripture of Great Peace” or “Classic of Great Peace.” It refers to a body of religious and cosmological writings associated with the late Han period. The surviving text is much shorter than the complete work described in historical sources, and its formation took place over time rather than through a single known author.

The scripture presents ideas about cosmic balance, moral behavior, ritual, healing, and the relationship between political order and harmony between Heaven and humanity. These themes helped shape religious movements connected with hopes for a restored era of peace.

The Taiping Jing is often discussed alongside the Yellow Turban movement, although the exact relationship between the surviving text and that movement is complex. It is distinct from the Huainanzi, a Han philosophical compilation, and from other Taoist works with similar-sounding titles.
