Which studio developed the vehicular combat game Star Wars: Demolition?

The story behind the answer

Luxoflux developed the vehicular combat game Star Wars: Demolition.

Released in 2000 for the PlayStation and Dreamcast, Demolition was published by LucasArts and used the same engine as Luxoflux’s Vigilante 8 games. Its premise imagines the Empire banning Jabba the Hutt’s podracing, leading Jabba to create a deadlier vehicle-based tournament.

The game is a last-vehicle-standing battle with playable figures including Boba Fett and Aurra Sing, plus vehicles such as tanks, landspeeders, swoops, and even a rancor. It includes Tournament, Battle, High Stakes, and Hunt-a-Droid modes; Dreamcast multiplayer supports up to four players.

A common mix-up is confusing the developer with LucasArts, which published the game, or with Factor 5, a different Star Wars game developer. Demolition was initially announced as Star Wars: Demolition Racer before receiving its shorter final title.
