Which Soviet cosmonaut became the first person to complete two spacewalks?

The story behind the answer

Alexei Leonov became the first person to complete two spacewalks.

Leonov made his first spacewalk on March 18, 1965, during Voskhod 2, becoming the first human to leave a spacecraft while in orbit. His spacesuit inflated in the vacuum, creating a dangerous emergency that required him to reduce its pressure before returning through the airlock.

His second spacewalk took place during the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project in July 1975. Leonov and fellow cosmonaut Valeri Kubasov flew Soyuz 19, which docked with the American Apollo spacecraft in the first crewed U.S.-Soviet joint mission.

Leonov is sometimes remembered only as the first spacewalker, but his second spacewalk came a decade later during a mission focused on international cooperation. He later became a prominent artist and space-program official.
