Which Sikh scripture contains the writings of the Sikh Gurus and selected non-Sikh saints?

The Guru Granth Sahib contains the writings of the Sikh Gurus and selected non-Sikh saints.

The scripture includes compositions by the Sikh Gurus as well as poet-saints from different religious and social backgrounds, including Kabir, Ravidas, and Sheikh Farid. Its inclusion of voices from varied traditions reflects Sikh teachings about devotion, equality, and the rejection of spiritual privilege based on birth.

Guru Arjan compiled the Adi Granth in 1604. Guru Gobind Singh later added the compositions of Guru Tegh Bahadur and installed the scripture as the eternal Guru in 1708.

Adi Granth is the earlier name for the compiled scripture before its final form and status as Guru Granth Sahib. Dasam Granth is a separate textual collection associated with Guru Gobind Singh and should not be treated as the Sikh eternal Guru.
