Which Seattle Mariner earned the nickname "Mr. Mariner"?

Alvin Davis earned the Seattle Mariners nickname “Mr. Mariner.” The first baseman became one of the franchise’s foundational players after making his major-league debut with Seattle in 1984, the club’s eighth season.

Davis immediately made an impact, winning the 1984 American League Rookie of the Year Award and appearing in that season’s All-Star Game.
