Broken Moon launched with Season 15, titled Eclipse, on November 1, 2022. Its signature transportation system was the Zip Rail network: fast, fixed routes connecting points of interest across the lunar map. Riders could build momentum, bank around corners and quickly rotate between fights, loot areas and the closing ring.

The map is set on Cleo, the moon of Boreas, which was damaged by a catastrophic meteor impact. Terraforming projects made parts of Cleo habitable, and the Apex Games were brought there as part of its redevelopment. Broken Moon also introduced large, distinct points of interest such as Terraformer, Promenades and The Foundry.
