Which sage gave Rama a divine bow and arrows in the forest?

The story behind the answer

Which sage gave Rama a divine bow and arrows in the forest? Sage Agastya gave Rama the divine bow and arrows.

During Rama's exile in the Dandaka forest, Rama, Sita and Lakshmana visited Agastya and Lopamudra at their hermitage. Agastya was a revered sage whose legendary deeds included subduing the Vindhya mountains and defeating the demons Vatapi and Ilvala.

In the Ramayana tradition, Agastya presented Rama with a divine bow and arrows and warned him about the danger posed by Ravana and the rakshasas. His hermitage is associated with the southern forest region and the banks of the Godavari.

Vishvamitra is an easy confusion because he trained Rama earlier and gave him powerful weapons before the encounter with Tataka and the disruption of his sacrifice. Agastya's gift belongs to Rama's later forest exile, near the Panchavati episode.
