Which Russian general led the Brusilov Offensive in 1916?

Alexei Brusilov led the Brusilov Offensive in 1916 as commander of Russia’s Southwestern Front. The offensive began on 4 June and targeted Austro-Hungarian forces in Galicia and Volhynia on the Eastern Front.

Brusilov planned a series of simultaneous attacks across a broad front rather than concentrating on one obvious breakthrough point.
