Answer
Wallace's flying frog
Wallace's flying frog is the rainforest frog known for gliding between trees with webbed feet.
Also called the gliding frog, Rhacophorus nigropalmatus is native to Southeast Asia, especially Borneo and parts of the Malay Peninsula. Its broad webbing between the toes and fingers spreads into parachute-like surfaces when the frog jumps from branches.
The frog does not truly fly or flap its limbs like a bird. Instead, it controls a long, descending glide, using its brightly coloured feet and loose skin surfaces to increase area and slow its fall. This adaptation helps an arboreal animal move through the canopy while avoiding a dangerous descent to the forest floor.
Adults are usually green with yellow and black markings on the webbing. The species is named after Alfred Russel Wallace, the British naturalist who studied the wildlife of the Malay Archipelago.
