Which pyramid is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World?

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Built in Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu, it was completed around 2560 BCE. The pyramid originally stood about 146.6 metres high and was the tallest human-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years.

It forms part of the Giza pyramid complex, alongside the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Most of its outer polished limestone casing was later removed, leaving the stepped core appearance seen today. The monument was constructed as a royal tomb.

The Great Pyramid is also the only surviving member of the traditional Seven Wonders. The Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara is older, but it was not included in that classical list, which was compiled by ancient Greek writers.
