Which proposed 1945 Allied operation would have invaded southern Kyushu?

The story behind the answer

Operation Olympic was the proposed Allied invasion of southern Kyushu in 1945.

Olympic was the first phase of Operation Downfall, the broader plan for invading Japan's home islands. It was scheduled for November 1945 and aimed to seize the southern third of Kyushu, Japan's southwestern main island. Captured territory would have provided airfields and staging areas for later operations.

The second phase, Operation Coronet, was planned for spring 1946 and would have targeted the Kanto Plain near Tokyo on Honshu. Japan surrendered before either operation could begin, so the invasion plan was canceled.

Operation Olympic is sometimes confused with Operation Iceberg, the Allied invasion of Okinawa in April 1945. Olympic was never executed; it remained a contingency plan whose projected casualties varied widely among planners and historians.
