Which prophetess was consulted by King Josiah about the Book of the Law found in the Temple?

The story behind the answer

Huldah was the prophetess consulted by King Josiah after the Book of the Law was found in the Temple.

The episode appears in 2 Kings 22 and 2 Chronicles 34. During repairs to the Temple in Jerusalem, the priest Hilkiah reported finding a scroll identified as the Book of the Law. Josiah was distressed when it was read aloud and sent a delegation to ask what the discovery meant. They went to Huldah, who lived in Jerusalem and was married to Shallum, keeper of the wardrobe.

Huldah delivered an authoritative oracle. She confirmed that disaster would come upon Judah because its people had abandoned God and worshipped other deities. She also told Josiah that, because he had humbled himself, he would not witness the foretold catastrophe during his lifetime. Her message helped shape Josiah's religious reforms.

Deborah and Miriam were also biblical prophetesses, but neither is connected with Josiah's consultation. Abigail is remembered as a wise woman associated with David, not as the prophetess who authenticated or interpreted the discovered scroll. Some scholars identify the Book of the Law with an early form of Deuteronomy.
