GK Films is credited alongside Optimum Productions as a production company on the 2026 film Michael.
GK Films is the production company associated with producer Graham King, who secured the rights to produce a Michael Jackson film in 2019. King later produced Michael with John Branca and John McClain. The project therefore developed from a producer-led rights deal into a major theatrical biopic.
Optimum Productions is also listed among the film’s production companies. Production-company credits identify the organizations involved in financing, organizing, and producing a film; they are not the same as distribution credits. Michael was distributed in the United States by Lionsgate and internationally by Universal Pictures.
