Which pop star released the album 'Born This Way' in 2011?

Lady Gaga released the album Born This Way in 2011.

Born This Way was Gaga’s second studio album and was released worldwide on May 23, 2011, through Interscope, Streamline, and KonLive Records. It followed her breakthrough album The Fame and its successful 2009 follow-up, The Fame Monster, establishing Gaga as one of the defining pop stars of the early 2010s.

The album blended synth-pop, electropop, dance-pop, techno, and electronic rock. Its title song became an anthem centered on self-acceptance and equality, while other singles included “Judas,” “The Edge of Glory,” “You and I,” and “Marry the Night.” The record also featured collaborations with Queen guitarist Brian May and E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons.

Some discographies count Born This Way as Gaga’s third major studio release if The Fame Monster is treated as a separate album rather than an expanded reissue. That numbering variation does not change the artist or the 2011 release year.
