Which Pokémon is the tallest species in the National Pokédex?
Answer
Eternatus
Answer
Eternatus
Eternatus is the tallest species in the National Pokédex, with a listed height of 20 meters. It was introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, released for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
Eternatus is a Poison/Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon associated with the Darkest Day, a catastrophe in the Galar region. Its power is linked to Dynamax energy, which causes Pokémon to grow dramatically during certain battles.
Its enormous standard height is easy to confuse with Dynamax or Gigantamax sizes. Those battle transformations can make many Pokémon appear huge, but Pokédex height comparisons normally use the species’ listed standard measurement.
Eternatus also has an Eternamax form, which is visually and conceptually even more colossal. That form appears during the game’s climax, while the ordinary Pokédex entry supplies the 20-meter measurement used for species rankings.
