Smearguru is the Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia known for painting exceptionally well.
Smearguru is a special character based on Smeargle, the Pokémon associated with painting and its signature move, Sketch. In Pokopia, the character is presented as an especially talented painter while Ditto restores habitats and helps Pokémon establish a community.
The name is a character nickname rather than the species name. That distinction matters because Smearguru is a Smeargle, just as Peakychu is a special Pikachu and Mosslax is a special Snorlax. The game uses these named Pokémon to give familiar species individual roles and stories.
Other notable characters include Chef Dente, a Greedent connected with a chef trainer, DJ Rotom, a Rotom possessing a stereo system, and Tinkmaster, a Tinkaton who uses tools. Smearguru is specifically linked with painting, making the answer distinct from the other named residents.
