Eevee has National Pokédex number 133 and can evolve into multiple elemental Pokémon.
Eevee is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in the first generation. Its unusual evolutionary potential is central to its identity: the original games featured Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, created with Water, Thunder, and Fire Stones. Later generations added additional evolutions with different methods.
Eevee’s current eight evolutions are Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. Their requirements include evolutionary stones, friendship, time of day, location-based conditions in older games, and knowledge of a Fairy-type move.
Eevee is frequently confused with one of its evolutions, especially because “Eevee” is sometimes used informally to describe the whole family. In Pokédex terms, however, Eevee is the unevolved species numbered 133. Its adaptability also inspired the franchise phrase “Evolution Pokémon,” used in its official species classification.
