Which Pokémon game was the first main-series title released for Nintendo Switch?

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! were the first main-series Pokémon titles released for Nintendo Switch.

The paired games launched worldwide on November 16, 2018. They are remakes of Pokémon Yellow and revisit the Kanto region with updated graphics, modernized systems, and partner versions centered on Pikachu or Eevee.

The games also incorporated mechanics inspired by Pokémon Go, including an approach to catching wild Pokémon that differs from the traditional battle-first method. Players could connect the games with Pokémon Go to transfer certain Pokémon.

Pokémon Sword and Shield followed in 2019 as the first entirely new core-series generation on Nintendo Switch. That distinction explains why Sword and Shield are sometimes incorrectly named as the first Switch Pokémon games.
