Which platform hosted Pokémon Stadium, the first Stadium title released outside Japan?

The story behind the answer

Pokémon Stadium was released outside Japan for the Nintendo 64.

The 1999 game brought Pokémon battles into a 3D console setting. It used the Nintendo 64’s graphics capabilities to present turn-based battles featuring the 151 species from Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

Players could connect Game Boy games through the Transfer Pak bundled with Pokémon Stadium. This allowed them to use their own Pokémon in battles and to access features connected to the handheld titles. The game also included four Cups, Gym Leader Castle, and several mini-games.

Pokémon Stadium followed the Japan-only Pocket Monsters Stadium. Because the naming differed between regions, references to it as the first Stadium game can be confusing, but the internationally released title was specifically a Nintendo 64 game.
