Which planet does Saturn’s moon Pandora orbit?

The story behind the answer

Saturn’s moon Pandora orbits Saturn.

Pandora is a small outer satellite of Saturn and acts as a shepherd moon near the planet’s narrow F ring. Its gravity helps influence the ring’s structure together with the nearby moon Prometheus. This astronomical Pandora is named after the figure from Greek mythology.

Voyager 1 images helped reveal Pandora in 1980. The moon is irregularly shaped and heavily cratered, with a mean radius of only a few dozen kilometers. It is much smaller and less massive than Saturn’s major moons such as Titan or Rhea.

Pandora is sometimes confused with Prometheus because both moons are associated with the F ring and were discovered in the same Voyager-era period. Prometheus is the inner shepherd; Pandora is the outer shepherd. Neither moon is related to the fictional Pandora in Avatar.
