Which Pevensie child is the youngest?

The story behind the answer

Lucy Pevensie is the youngest of the four Pevensie children. She is also the first sibling to discover the magical entrance to Narnia.

Lucy’s age helps explain her role in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. She approaches the wardrobe with curiosity rather than skepticism and quickly accepts that Narnia is real. Her older siblings initially doubt her, while Edmund briefly pretends that she imagined the experience. Professor Kirke, however, recognizes that Lucy may be telling the truth.

Lucy is characterized by compassion, courage, and faith. She befriends Mr. Tumnus, helps oppose the White Witch, and receives a healing cordial from Father Christmas. During the final battle, she uses it to save Edmund after he is seriously wounded.

Her youngest status does not make her passive. Lucy becomes Queen Lucy the Valiant, ruling Narnia alongside Peter, Susan, and Edmund during its Golden Age. A common mix-up is to confuse youngest with the first to enter: Lucy is both the youngest child and the first Pevensie to pass through the wardrobe, but those are separate facts.
