Which parade marked the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary during the America250 period?

The parade marking the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary during the America250 period was the United States Army 250th Anniversary Parade.

The parade took place in Washington, D.C., on June 14, 2025, which is both the Army’s 250th birthday and Flag Day in the United States. Its timing placed it within the broader lead-up to the country’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

The event commemorated the Continental Congress’s creation of the Continental Army on June 14, 1775. That date is traditionally regarded as the founding date of the modern United States Army, making the 2025 parade a separate military anniversary from the national semiquincentennial.

This distinction matters because the Army’s 250th anniversary occurred one year before the nation’s 250th anniversary. The two celebrations are related through the Revolutionary era but mark different historical milestones.
