One Direction’s song “Little Things” appears on the album Take Me Home.

The track was released in 2012 as the second single from the group’s second studio album. Unlike the more energetic “Live While We’re Young,” it is a mid-tempo pop and folk ballad focused on appreciating the small imperfections that make someone distinctive. The song’s acoustic-leaning arrangement helped give it a gentler, more intimate character.

“Little Things” was written by Ed Sheeran and Fiona Bevan and produced by Jake Gosling. Sheeran had originally written it with Bevan when he was 17; after the song resurfaced, he played it to One Direction while working with the group, and they recorded it for Take Me Home.
