Which Nintendo designer designed Pac-Man Vs.?

The story behind the answer

Shigeru Miyamoto designed Pac-Man Vs.

Pac-Man Vs. is a 2003 multiplayer maze game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Namco for the GameCube. Miyamoto created it as a technology demonstration for the GameCube–Game Boy Advance link cable. The concept turns Pac-Man into a competitive game: one player controls Pac-Man on the Game Boy Advance, while the other players control ghosts on the television screen.

Miyamoto was a longtime admirer of the original Pac-Man arcade game. His prototype demonstrated how the linked systems could give different players different information and perspectives. Nintendo showed the early project at the Games Convention in Germany under the working title Pac-Man for Nintendo GameCube. After seeing the demonstration, Namco agreed to publish it as a full game.

Pac-Man Vs. is sometimes misattributed to other famous Nintendo designers because the company’s best-known developers worked across many franchises. The credited designer here is Miyamoto, working with Nintendo EAD. The game later appeared on Nintendo DS through Namco Museum DS and on Nintendo Switch through Namco Museum.
