Which NHL team is Robin Scherbatsky a fan of?

Robin Scherbatsky is a fan of the Vancouver Canucks. The NHL team represents Vancouver, the Canadian city where Robin was born and raised before moving to New York.

Her Canucks loyalty is one of several details that keep Robin's Canadian identity present throughout How I Met Your Mother. She frequently makes references to Canada that her American friends do not understand, and the contrast becomes a recurring source of jokes. Her hockey allegiance also fits the show's broader use of Canadian cultural touchstones in her story.

The main confusion is between the Vancouver Canucks and other Canadian NHL teams, particularly the Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Robin's birthplace points to Vancouver, but the answer is confirmed by her stated fandom: she supports the Canucks specifically. The team was founded in 1970 and plays its home games at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
