Great Basin National Park is the Nevada national park that contains Wheeler Peak and the Lehman Caves.

The park lies in White Pine County in eastern Nevada, close to the Utah border, within the Snake Range. Wheeler Peak rises to 13,063 feet, while the Lehman Caves form a richly decorated limestone and marble cave system. The caves began forming about 550 million years ago, when the region lay beneath a shallow ocean.

Great Basin became a national park in 1986 after the former Lehman Caves National Monument was incorporated. The park is also famous for ancient bristlecone pines, glacial landforms, and exceptionally dark night skies.
