Which moon of Saturn is named Pandora?

The story behind the answer

Pandora is the Saturnian moon named Pandora. It is a small inner moon that orbits near Saturn’s F ring and helps influence that ring’s structure through gravitational interactions.

Voyager 1 images revealed Pandora in 1980, and the moon was formally recognized from the spacecraft observations. Its name comes from Pandora in Greek mythology, continuing the convention of naming many Saturnian moons after figures associated with classical mythology. Pandora is irregularly shaped and has a very low density compared with many larger planetary satellites.

Pandora is often discussed together with Prometheus, another small moon near the F ring. Prometheus acts as an inner shepherd, while Pandora is the outer shepherd; their combined gravity helps confine and shape the narrow ring. This astronomical Pandora is unrelated to the fictional moon Pandora in the film Avatar, which orbits the gas giant Polyphemus in the Alpha Centauri system.
