Which model played Geoffrey's date Helen in season 1?

Naomi Campbell played Helen, Geoffrey’s date, in season 1 of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She appears in the episode “Kiss My Butler,” where Will helps arrange the date.

Campbell was already an internationally recognized fashion model when she made the appearance in 1990. Her casting fit the sitcom’s habit of bringing major celebrities, athletes, musicians, and models into the Banks family’s orbit. The joke is that Helen’s presence makes Geoffrey unexpectedly desirable and complicates the family’s assumptions about his romantic life.

A common mix-up is to associate the appearance with Tyra Banks, who also appeared on the series. Banks played Jackie Ames, one of Will’s recurring love interests, not Geoffrey’s date. Cindy Crawford and Iman were also major models, but neither played Helen. Campbell’s television filmography lists the role as Helen in the season 1 episode “Kiss My Butler.”
