Which map was the first to feature a train that travels around the map?
Answer
World's Edge
Answer
World's Edge
World’s Edge was the first Apex Legends map to feature a train traveling around the map. The train was introduced when World’s Edge launched with Season 3, providing a moving route across the snowy, industrial landscape and creating a high-risk way to rotate between areas.
The train was more than scenery: squads could land on it, fight aboard it, and use its movement to reposition. Its route connected important parts of World’s Edge and made the map feel different from Kings Canyon, the original Apex map. Train Yard, one of the map’s named locations, was built around this railway theme.
Players sometimes confuse the map’s train with the Winter Express limited-time mode. Winter Express used a train as a capture objective during the Holo-Day Bash event, but the roaming train itself was associated with World’s Edge. Storm Point and Olympus arrived later and introduced different traversal features rather than the original circuit train.
