Ducati won the 2023 MotoGP Constructors’ Championship. Its riders’ combined results gave the Italian manufacturer 700 points, comfortably ahead of KTM, Aprilia, Yamaha and Honda.
Ducati’s success reflected exceptional depth across its factory and satellite teams. Francesco Bagnaia defended the Riders’ Championship, while Ducati machinery also delivered victories for riders including Jorge Martín, Marco Bezzecchi, Álex Márquez and Enea Bastianini. Ducati won 17 of the season’s 20 traditional Grands Prix.
The constructors’ title is not the same as the teams’ title. Constructors’ scoring credits each manufacturer with the points earned by its best-placed rider in each race. The Teams’ Championship instead combines the results of riders representing one team; in 2023, Prima Pramac Racing won that separate competition.
Ducati’s 2023 constructors’ crown was its fifth overall and fourth consecutive title. That distinction explains why a question about the manufacturer should not be answered with Pramac, the year’s leading team.
