Jensen Motors introduced the Jensen FF in 1966, making Jensen Motors the manufacturer behind one of the first production cars with four-wheel drive.
The FF was based on the Jensen Interceptor grand tourer and used Ferguson Formula four-wheel drive. It also featured Dunlop Maxaret anti-lock brakes, an advanced system for its era.
The initials “FF” referred to Ferguson Formula, not the car’s engine or body style. The Jensen FF was built in limited numbers, so it was never as common as conventional rear-wheel-drive grand tourers.
The model is sometimes confused with the Jensen Interceptor, which shared much of its styling but did not have the FF’s four-wheel-drive system. Jensen Motors was a British manufacturer based in West Bromwich, England.
