Which London landmark featured Banksy’s 2008 mural One Nation Under CCTV?

Banksy’s 2008 mural One Nation Under CCTV was painted beside a Royal Mail sorting office in London.

The mural appeared on a wall near Newman Street in central London, close to Oxford Circus. It depicted a hooded figure painting the words “One Nation Under CCTV,” while a police dog and handler watched nearby. The work commented on Britain’s extensive network of closed-circuit television cameras and the tension between surveillance and public space.

The wall belonged to a Royal Mail sorting office, which helped make the image especially visible to commuters and pedestrians. The mural was later removed in 2008 after Westminster City Council ordered the wall to be cleaned.
