The O2 Arena hosts the annual London celebration called New Year’s Eve at the O2.
The O2 is a large entertainment complex on the Greenwich Peninsula in southeast London. Its main indoor venue, The O2 Arena, is used for concerts, sports, family shows, and special holiday events. The New Year’s Eve program typically combines live music, DJs, dancing, and a midnight countdown.
The venue opened as an arena in 2007 within the wider complex originally developed around the Millennium Dome. The dome structure itself dates from the late 1990s and was initially built for the Millennium Experience exhibition.
This event should not be confused with London’s separate outdoor fireworks celebration on the River Thames. The O2 party is an indoor ticketed entertainment event, while the riverside display is organized around central London landmarks.
