Answer
Genghis Khan
Answer
Genghis Khan
Genghis Khan founded the Mongol Empire in 1206 after uniting the Mongol tribes.
Born Temüjin, he spent decades building alliances, defeating rival steppe groups, and reorganizing followers into a disciplined political and military system. In 1206, a kurultai, or assembly of Mongol nobles, proclaimed him Genghis Khan, a title commonly interpreted as universal or oceanic ruler.
His conquests began in Central Asia and China and expanded across much of Eurasia. The empire used mounted archery, rapid communication, intelligence gathering, and strict military organization. It also incorporated administrators and specialists from conquered societies.
Genghis Khan died in 1227, but the empire continued expanding under his descendants. Kublai Khan, his grandson, later founded China’s Yuan dynasty. Tamerlane lived much later, while Attila led the Huns in Europe centuries before the Mongol Empire.
