Which landmark is the centerpiece of Dubai's famous New Year's Eve fireworks?
Answer
Burj Khalifa
Answer
Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa is the centerpiece of Dubai's famous New Year's Eve fireworks and light shows.
Dubai has repeatedly used the world's tallest building as the visual focus of its midnight celebration. Displays have combined fireworks, LED illumination and projection effects across the tower's long façade, making the event visible across much of central Dubai.
The skyscraper opened in 2010 and stands in Downtown Dubai beside the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain. Its extreme height gives organizers a distinctive vertical surface for large-scale visual presentations.
The Burj Khalifa event is sometimes confused with celebrations at the Burj Al Arab, another internationally recognized Dubai landmark. The Burj Al Arab has hosted its own fireworks, but it is not the tower identified with the city's principal Downtown countdown.
